Dumb Russian (or, how we learned to stop fighting and blah blah blah).

Just to show you how lame I've become, I was browsing earlier on the BBC website, trying to brush up on my Russian, when I saw an article stating (the obvious) USA Still unprepared for disasters. Anyway, at the bottom they mention states with effective disaster preparedness and recovery plans, many along the southeastern coast. Bottom line, I think they got Southern California mixed up with South Carolina, so I sent them an email in order to correct it, if necessary. I hope that when I have kids, they never read this staleness and realize that their pop is a lame-o.
Anyway, you know you've arrived when you can impress a Navy SEAL. My class leader is a SEAL officer, and approached me as we broke for lunch. He had overheard me talking to my squad (yes, I was selected to be a squad section leader, in charge of providing a positive learning environment, free of distractions for 9 servicemen) and saying that I've been here before. I told him that yes, I'd gone through the Russian course, and he was like, woah, thats cool. That just made me feel awesome.

I sent a correction e-mail to the BBC once also. They had me down as being the President of Iraq from 1969-2003, when in actuality that was Sadam Hussein.
